There is one very simple experiment I love to do when I’m outdoors. To test if a rock is a limestone we drop a tiny amount of hydrochloric acid on it, if it’s starts to fizz and bubble up then it has a mineral called calcite in it but if it doesn’t react it doesn’t have calcite. It’s a really easy experiment but can tell you a lot about two rocks which might look the same.

To make small circuits and see them work, even if it’s something simple like a sensor circuit to measure temperature!
