      Wind is measured by knots. So the strongest wind I have ever sailed in was 40 knots, which is the same speed as a car driving 75 km/h.

      The strongest wind that I’ve ever been in was probably Storm Ophelia last year which had wind speeds of up to 100 knots (185 km/h)!!
