When I was in secondary school I learned all about plate tectonics, which is the movement of the upper parts of the Earths crust which causes earthquakes and volcanoes. I thought this was really interesting and so when I went to college I started to take classes all about how the Earth works, then I realised that the Earth was made up of rocks that can tell us all about how the Earth was formed and all the processes that formed the landscapes. I just loved that rocks could tell us so much about the planet that I wanted to learn more and more.
