• Question: how do you know each rock when you see them?

      In university I spent 4 years learning about how different rocks are formed. I was taught how to look for characteristics in rocks to determine what they are, so even if I don’t know exactly what the rock is I can take a number of steps to works out what it might be. It’s like detective work, the rocks have lots of clues in them you just need to know how to look for them!
