      Good question! So magnets stick to ferromagnetic materials including some but not all metals. Ferromagnetism is a property of some materials where their chemical make up results in them being able to stick to metal.
      Next time you have a magnet you can experiment with what metals in your house are and are not magnetic! Try coins and cutlery as a good starting point.
